How many rounds are in the US Open?

Source: Official Facebook Page of US Open`

The annual US Open is a hardcourt tennis tournament held in Queens, New York. Except for 2020, the US Open has always been the year's fourth and last Grand Slam event chronologically since 1987; it is held after the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon.

The 2023 US Open will be held at The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York City, from August 28 to September 10, with the qualifying rounds taking place from August 22 to 25.

The event, which was formerly known as the U.S. National Championship is one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world. The end of World Wars I and II, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, had no bearing on it. It was the only Grand Slam that was not canceled.

The tournament features men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles as its five main championships. The tournament also features wheelchair, senior, and junior events.

The US Open 2023 is divided into how many rounds?

The US Open is divided into seven rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Round 4 (Round of 16), Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and Finals.

From August 28 to September 10, the 2023 US Open will be held at The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Queens, New York City.

The defending champions in the men's and women's singles categories at the 143rd edition of the tournament are Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and Iga Swiatek of Poland respectively. Due to restrictions on foreigners who had not received the COVID-19 vaccine last year, Novak Djokovic was unable to compete at Flushing Meadows. However, he will be playing this year's tournament.

Last year, Alcaraz won his first Grand Slam at the Arthur Ashe Stadium by defeating Norway's Casper Ruud 6-4, 2-6, 7-6(1), 6-3. Alcaraz's victory also made him the first teenager to hold the top spot in the ATP Rankings. World No. 1 Iga Swiatek defeated Ons Jabeur of Tunisia 6-2, 7-6(5) in the 2022 women's singles final to win her third Major.

Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury, an American-British team, won the men's doubles event, while Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova, an all-Czech team, won the women's doubles event. Storm Sanders and John Peers, who are both Australian, won the mixed doubles event.
